Hi, My name is Mary VanKeulen and I established Sophisticuts Salon & Spa in 1989. I am a certified Redken Colorist and a Redken Platform Artist. As a Redken Platform Artist, I have the experience of working with people worldwide. It keeps our Salon a step above the rest in education. Working as a Platform Artist and traveling throughout the US, I have had the experience of working with many high fashion shows, the Allure Magazine Tour, stars such as Jessica and Ashley Simpson, and many top models. My name is Katie Allen.  I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 3 years.  I attended Absolute Styling Academy in Ottawa, Illinois.  I have worked at Sophisticuts Salon and Spa for almost 2 years.

My favorite part of the beauty industry is the people.  I love to meet new people and make new friends.  I always love a challenge, whether it is corrective color or creating a whole new look for you. I specialize in dimensional color and razor cutting.  I love to learn new techniques.  I have attended educational events in Chicago and Wisconsin.  I look forward to helping you create the perfect style you've always wanted.

My name is Keith Johnson.  I am the Massage Therapist here at Sophisticuts Salon and Spa.  Although I have been practicing massage therapy since 2006, I have only been practicing at Sophisticuts for several months. In that short time, I have quickly realized how great the staff is here. I attended school at Everest College in North Aurora.

My training includes, but is not limited to, Swedish Massage, Deep-Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Pre-Natal Massage, Reflexology and Sports Massage.  I believe a good massage has the power to make the worst days seem wonderful.

My Name is Lindsey Koning. I have been working at Sophisticuts Salon and Spa for over 3 years.  I attended Midwest College of Cosmetology in Normal, Illinois.  I decided to become a Cosmetologist because I really enjoy making people look and feel good about themselves.  I think that if you look good on the outside then you feel more confident on the inside! 

I specialize in hair coloring, haircuts, special occasion hair and make-up.  I have attended many hair shows and am very educated on the newest trends and techniques. My name is Cherie Maupin.  I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 1999.  I have been employed by Sophisticuts Salon & Spa since 2000.  Thanks to my loyal clientele, I have become a Master Designer in the Salon.

Throughout my years in this industry, I have had extensive training in Chicago, Las Vegas, New York and Wisconsin.  One of my favorite moments came during my time spent on 5th Avenue in New York City, working with the head of redken Professionals on color correction.  It was an amazing learning experience.  One I will never forget.

One of my favorite aspects of this industry is coloring and hair design.  I love bringing the perfect haircut and beautiful coloring together.  I also love doing perms, chemical straightenings, up-do's and styling.  I also work as part of our spa doing manicures, pedicures and facials.  I love this job and look forward to meeting you!

Hi, my name is Dawn Hall. I attended La James International College of Beauty in Davenport, Iowa. I received my Nail Tech license in 2007. I have been at Sophisticuts Salon & Spa for over 3 years. I started as the receptionist and was approached to go to school to become a nail technician. I have attended nail events in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

My name is Tiffany Neahring.  I have been a stylist at Sophisticuts Salon & Spa for 2 years and a licensed cosmetologist for 5 years.

I attended school at Educators of Beauty in Sterling, Illinois and have attended many educational events in Chicago and Wisconsin. I love to learn about new trends and then applying them to techniques I use everyday. My passion is for hair styling, but i also do manicures, pedicures and facials.  Before I start your service, I always tell myself, "make this person feel like a million bucks!" and I always strive to do so.
